Kia Sorento for Towing

Hi - am about to buy a 2007 Kia Sorento - it's 2.5L, Automatic and has a braked towing capacity of 3500KG so should be more than enough for our Ifor Williams 505 plus 2 horses. But can I check if anyone out there has one and is happy with it? Many thanks

I have a 2006 one. Absolutely love it, great to drive and tows well. Mines a manual and tows an ivor Williams 505 with 1 horse.

My friend has one, she loves it! Hers is an automatic, tows an Ifor with two ponies/1 pony plus carriage on the back easily.

I used to have a 2008 sorento and it was brilliant for towing and very reliable Only changed it because I wanted more ‘bells and whistles’. I towed a 510 with two big horses easily.

I had a 2004 version manual, it was fantastic! Only reason it had to go as it was starting to rust badly.
I now have a 2013 newer version - doesn't fill me with as much confidence as my older one.

I have a 2009. Tows brilliantly. Really easy to drive and very economical for day to day running around.

The older/original model is a brilliant tow vehicle and won a load of Caravan club awards for its towing capability.

Dear all - just to say we've now had the Kia for 4 months and used a lot for towing - it has been great! Thanks again for all the feedback - so glad we bought it.
