Kick-Ass Kermit and her Ponies' Pranks at Purston PN Plus *vids*

Jup needs throttling. Re, the ballast, perhaps just tie a tractor weight to him and let him drag it around next time you go out, see if that takes the edge off him a bit.

(And re takers, what does it say about me he interests me MORE now . . . ;) )

Good on the sj - no doubt Lionel was proud! And it's nice to know all your hard one "experience" with the Lincolnshire (or was in Lancs - can't remember but both work here) Ditch Diver is standing you in good stead now you've got ones that actually care if the poles stay up.

Sounds like a pretty good day all 'round, especially considering your untraditional preparation regime. One day you'll look back on their youthful antics and laugh . . . :D

Yeah yeah, you only like Jup because he's a little bit bad. TD would probably fight you for him. ;)

Remind me, at some point, to look back and laugh will you, preferably when I'm waiting for a prizegiving. :p

I think that the old 'they need bigger fences to make them concentrate' cliche is a tad overdone and rarely correct but it might just be true in this case. The only problem is that testing the theory can be a bit umm, 'interesting' and require brave and velcro pants (definitely both in Jup's case!). I wish they had PNP's up here :( we're crying out for one, though not if they're going to use Nov111 .

Tell those oncologists that your boys have a very busy schedule and they need to consult Jup's diary before they go booking you in for the nasty stuff :D

Can I have cake AND soup please? This Saturday has provided far less in the way of drama and bruises than last Saturday (thus far, at least.... ;)) but no more in the way of nutrition :(.

I have been jumping bigger stuff at home with no velcro pants moments, but doing it at a competition when their (Jup's ) attention is wandering may well scare the afore-mentioned pants off me.

I have never had a 'nice' 5yo yet - 5 def seems to be the teenager stage in horse terms. Fingers crossed for a pair of reformed characters next season.

Great day though considering the wider picture.

Fiona

Thanks Fiona, I couldn't agree more about the teenage stage; trying is a good word for them and I'll keep my fingers crossed they mellow by 2011.

I do love your boys - just ponies in over-grown bodies I think :D But yeah, I'll pass on Jup for the time being, got enough cheeky at the moment. Grrrr.

Good day all things considered though :D

Ponies pretending to be horses but giving themselves away with their antics, that's about right. Cheeky can wear thin after a while, can't it? :(

Well done, Superwoman indeed! :D I hope the oncologist agrees and can organise your drugs around about the cheeky boys' planned outings. I also spotted a little of the "left right" game in the SJ by Jup, he is the cheekiest of the cheeky boys for sure!

I probably won't tell the oncologist exactly why I'd like to start the regime mid-October, but maybe "important meetings" is sufficiently ambiguous to get the required result? :D

Well done you - methinks Jup just has so much exuberance he needs to express it - in various ways! Crikey he can jump - maybe he wants to go over to the other side and be a SJer, forget WH - BS here he comes!!

BS, hmmmm, no thanks, or not this week anyway as he has a date as a working hunter, as does Arthur The Ginger Cleveland Bay. I'll report back as to whether your sister should be quaking in her boots...;) :D

The cheeky boys are certainly not going to allow Kick-Ass Kermit to have an easy time!

Totally agree with K 'Superwoman' is certainly a good alternative to KAS/BD:)

I am still a Jups fan, although the 'Jups' I am currently riding is a 14hh New Forest, who is also 5 and seems to enjoy the same attitude and personality as your Jups. Now I am proper pony squisking and as yet he hasnt managed to raise his back end with me, but I am sure there is plenty of time for me to be properly 'slam dunked' from a very low height:rolleyes:

Great report keep those lovely boys in line:)

Love the thought of you being slam-dunked by something 14hh, if you know what I mean.:p Would you like some ballast too to keep the back end where it should be?

Well done :)! Fab report and yay for clear rounds :D! Looks like they both coped very well with the step up, I'll join you for the dressage drilling over the winter though!

DressageDivasRUs. :D Actually, I think I'll be lucky to get beyond being a dressage divvy and never even enter the realms of divadom. ;)

Looking good! I think Cal is just the sweetest thing... at Jup's antics, the bugger  I like how he desperately tried to show the judges just how much you obviously beat him up at home  :D

Isn't he just, other than having the odd un-sweet moment. And don't you think Jup should have been a footballer with his levels of melodrama? Funny how he recovered from the trauma of a near-beating to be so chirpy showjumping...;)
