Kick boards onto gates ?

How do you fix kick boards onto gates ? I want to make a spare stable in my barn and cant work out how to fix the boards to the gate . I know plenty of people do it but how ?

Use some tex screws

Drill holes in the boards and then use cable ties. I use cable ties for almost everything, neater than baler cord as well

Cable ties have the advantage that if you need them off in a hurry, or at any time, you simply cut them.

The ones I have seen have been fixed with cable ties.
