Basically I've been a terrible owner for about a year and a half. Moved in with my OH and took on a new job. Left horse at existing yard as fantastic but took on a sharer - who is also fantastic! work is a 50 minute commute from home, stables is usually 25 mins from work but due to major year long bridge works it now takes more 40. I'm also at least 40 minutes back home from the stables. My acting up post means I have to do work from home in the evenings/weekends. I'm exhausted and relying on my sharer so much to help me. Most weeks I'm only up three times as I'm so busy and tired! This promoted post will end in summer and I'm moving house in April - yipee! So all will be better then. Just want someone to tell me that I can keep plodding on till then and I'm not the world's worst owner! :-S

You haven't been a terrible owner - you got a sharer to make sure your horse got the attention it is used to! It'll be spring soon and not long to go. Just make sure you don't forget your sharer when you do have the time free to spend with your horse :-)

As long as you are extra nice to sharer! Sounds like you will get through. Make sure she gets the thanks she deserves. Good luck with the move etc.

She is absolutely fantastic :-) I refuse to take any money from her as I couldn't have horse without her anymore. Don't worry, she knows the arrangement stands for as long as she wants it to. Just feel so ruddy guilty :-( had horses 22years and have never spent so little time at the yard.

Most of us will have a sticky patch in our lives( got one now) and sharers are a godsend, I know I could not keep big lad without mine, so don't feel guilty, things will get better, x
