Wow I am way out of my depth, with my lovely adorable foal

Bringing him and mum in tonight and he has this terrible habit of biting her on the bum, well she kicked him, he got mardy and kicked me!! I have been trying to head collar train him for weeks and have had no luck. The minute I try to tie the strap over his head he goes bonkers. Have tried in the stable, have tried soft scarves around the neck, nothing. I am just not experienced enough. I have someone coming tomorrow who breeds foals she is going to have a look at him for me. I bet you she gets it on straight away

Sounds a nightmare but at least you have put your hands up and said you dont feel experienced enough and have called an experienced person in to help.

Its good that you have someone experienced who is willing to give you a hand. Dont be afraid to ask her for hepl as and when you need it. And good on you for realising when you are out of your depth. Hope the kcik wasnt too painful either.

Sounds like he is a wilfull little beggar

mmm I'm beginning to wonder if its time to throw in the towel unfortunately I am an example of the BOGOF nightmare. Bought first pony in Jan, middle of May was told she was in foal, June 4th out pops Pepper. Have little experience of horses let alone foals! He's not bad, its just him being a foal, hes very good at the grooming side, picks up all his feet and hes very affectionate but he can just be sooo naughty. It would break my heart to get rid but its sooo hard
