Nitty decided to boot me on the elbow tonight. I would not recommend it. It bloomin' hurts.

I think it's probably ok. I can move it and it only hurts if I bend it right up to my shoulder or try and grip and twist it at the same time. Couldn't turn the keys in the ignition!

Bloody horrible horse!

Jesus that must hurt like a b!!!!! Hurts just to gently knock your elbow on something, poor you!.

My husband broke his olecranon (elbow) it still worked fine, even tho it was smashed to bits, the rule of if it can bend its not broken, doesnt really apply to joints lol... mind you the pint+ of blood he lost under the skin was a giveaway! Naughty Nitty!! xx

No, the fact it is moving isn't a dead cert at all. Both times I've broken my wrist I've had a full range of motion. It is cracking a bit when I bend and straighten it but it isn't an emergency and it isn't that swollen (yet?) so I'll skip the hospital for now. Your poor OH. That sounds nasty!

It did make me do that thing with the heavy breathing for a couple of minutes before I could go and round her up!

HAHA he blames me, we were iceskating and i was chasing him to put some ice down his trousers!! nah not worth getting it seen too quick anyway they leave them a few days for the bleeding etc to stop don't they!...... Its really making me cringe thinking about being kicked in your elbow arghhhh make sure you milk it big time! No way can you make yourself a cuppa! xx

Ouch! Sounds sore!
Managed to break my elbow a few years back. Didn't hurt really, the sorest thing was getting the pins taken out  , however I couldn't move it at all, just as well I didn't though as I had a bone splitter digging into vein in my arm :o

Yikes! That sounds scary!

Mine is deffo fine. It doesn't even hurt now.

maybe it's good to get your OH to check it in case your are in shock and not in a position to judge?

oh my god, you poor thing! made me wince to read.
i was camping in france last year and went to take a shower in one of the cubicles and i had totally stripped off and was just about to put my coin in the metal meter when i slipped and fell onto the meter on my elbow! i think i blacked out or fell over or something because the next thing i knew i was on the floor pretty sure i was gonna be sick. i couldn't be sick there so i put my towel on and actually crawled out to find a toilet to be sick in. but i'd left all my stuff in the shower cubicle and all these queueing europeans were trying to work out what the hell was going on. i couldn't really explain the situation so i just kind of muttered and crawled on. really, really embarrassing. elbow still makes me jump when it's touched!

Gah...funny bone. It isn't funny at all. FWIW, if it does still hurt, possibly get it checked. When I broke my shoulder I had full movement but it hurt a bit when I lifted it high, so got x-rays 3 days later.
Had surgery on my elbow 2 weeks ago now, to repair the nerves, reconstruct ligaments etc etc...honestly didn't think I'd done anything serious, just hurt to bend it towards my shoulder, or if i pushed along the inside. Thank god my surgeon is competent because I wasn't feeling pain on the two tests (lots of laxity though!), reckon it must have been because of the nerve damage though.

Anyway, not designed to scare you - just thought I'd mention it. Hope your arm is feeling better :)

Blimey you are injury prone at the moment!!:eek:

Or is that you have a secret desire to visit A&E??:D:D

Haha. I think it probably has direct correlation to my 3yo opinionated filly having been on box rest for nearly two months now!

she really doesn't approve and the longer she is in there the more evil she becomes. The faces it was pulling this morning! Looked positively demonic!
