Kicking ones self very very hard

The woman is clearly on another planet. I know we all try to fit in when we go somewhere new but her lunacy must have taken you completely by surprise so, no, this is not your fault, your horse will forgive you (;)) and in time you will laugh about all this. Stay strong for him and for yourself and move on with life. Good luck for Saturday.

I’m not sure if the whole story but take a breathand a step back, you have done nothing wrong. You have in no way let your boy down. You have a crazy sounding yard owner and I think leaving is the best thing.
congrats on sitting a good buck! Better than I’d do!

I've just done an emergency move. I wont bore you with all the details but my lovely little mare whos never any trouble was so distressed by recent events that she was going nuts in her stable, flinging herself about and trying to attack the horse in the next stable. I was so upset I went home and cried and cried and cried. I honestly expected her to colic the state she was in.

She moved to her new yard today, came off the trailer quite excited thinking it was a party, realised it wasn't and I left her in her new stable quietly eating hay. The difference was dramatic.

Just get him moved, and move on. He wont be irrevocably damaged by this and neither will you :)

Poor Chance and poor you. YO sounds like a total whack job..!!! 😱😱😱😱 Don't beat yourself up, I don't see how you could have predicted that particular brand of crazy.
I hope you are able to get him moved and settled...and tell the YO to piss off..!!!

So as you all know chance moved last week and he was a complete gent about it

Sunday the yard owner took it upon her first to lunge him and then demand i got on

please remember chance hasn't done more then hack once a month for a mile in walk for the last 18 month due to my injuries

so she put me on (unbalanced rider) feed the lunge line back to the girth and chase him forward for canter he bucked (not big) but it did unseat me, i stayed on! (yay me!)

any way now she has turned and it cornering me in my stable after work saying he will kill me and i have to sell him and by one of hers, shes even trying to put him in a wagon that is going on the ferry to main land (England) on Saturday night

Im heart broken i didn't want this for my boy and regret the move, so he is going to move again this Saturday, haven't told yard owner and wont til an hour before the wagon arrives as shes a "prickly" person

please tell me things get better i feel i have let chance down.

a few forum members have seen the video of Sunday and have been super supportive so please don't bi my head of Im upset enough

Please do not be on yr own on this yard and i would def not tell YO an hour before.when box turns up get loaded up and just go! you can talk over the phone and explain u will call the police if she stops you .also would be careful on here as someone always knows someone! you need to be confident and tell her you are not happy.simple.Just sorry you have to go thru this...

wagon arrived for tonight.. wish me luck..
Luck . xxxxxx
Just caught up with this S
Woman's a nut job and you are too nice( which is normally a very good thing , buuuuuut .......)
I agree with everybody else ,especially regarding YO having designs on Chance. He is a fantastic horse. One little blip given the circumstances means diddly squat. Get to your new yard and put this silly woman behind you. Hugs darling. Angie xxxxxxxxxxxx

The best of luck, you are absolutely doing the right thing. I too can't help feel she has a buyer lined up and will try anything to get you to sell.

This is totally not your fault either. So don't blame yourself, Chance won't mind the move as long as there is food to eat and love and kisses and hugs after it all.

Hope all is going well shavings. These kind of yard moves are so stressful and upsetting but mostly for the humans. The horses are happy as long as there is food!

Phew, so glad that you got him out of there ok. Nutjob former YO was never likely to let Chance her make a quick buck scheme leave without creating a scene, but you did it. Well done.

I hope that today’s forecast weather isn’t too bad for you all, and that you can now start enjoying the lovely Chance again in your new yard.

Well done you. Funny how they know when they have to be on their best behaviour because you are stressed out!! I bet he is relaxing now, too.

Another WOW for the YO (I presume) making it stressful. I'm now convinced she had designs on your horse as a money spinner.

Thank goodness! I can imagine she wasn't best pleased (especially if she was lining a buyer up for him... me, cynical? Never!).
I'm glad you and Chance got out of there, hopefully with all your tack etc as well!
