I avoid yards that have children, that's just because I'm not a child-friendly zone and prefer peace and quiet.
That doesn't mean that I am against children being at yards. If you have children and want to introduce them to horses then by all means do it, as long as you take responsibility for them and don't let them bug other liveries. (Nasty child-unfriendly ones like me!).
In my experience I've never been fortunate enought to be somewhere that children came with their parents and stayed supervised and well behaved at all times. Sooner or later the parent is in the arena for a ride, or in the tea room for a gossip, and child is either under my feet, under my horse, or under my hay pile having a fag - depending on age!
I just think it's nice that I can still find yards where children aren't having these "learning experiences" LOL!
