Kids Running Pony Into The Ground?

I don't think it's 'abusive' enough to call WHW or anything like that. I don't think the girls are being purposely abusive (although 'abusive' is too stronger a word to use, I can't think of a better one). They probably have just been taught that that is how you deal with a pony that doesn't want to do something, which is partly true, if it's a lazy stubborn riding school pony. Obviously this isn't a lazy riding school pony, it's a young green 4 year old that needs encouragement and praise, not to be told off with a whip for being apprehensive of doing something it shouldn't be doing at that age anyway imo.
I think all these kids need is a bit of education on educating young horses.

Who owns the pony? Maybe you could talk to them or show them the video? After all, they are the ones who should be making a judgement on this.

Well it's not exactly report worthy but I docsee your concerns op as its hardly ideal is it.
They are however only kids and appear to need educating rather than criticising. They clearly see they are doing nothing wrong if they are happy to put it up on YouTube!

As someone who as a teenager dragged branches out of bushes on the common and merrily hopped over them (as well as the park benches - another thread) you'd better ask me to leave now. But then I've also team chased, hunted, etc etc and had damn good fun since and not got bored plodding around a school with matchy matchy tack worrying about how heavy I was. The video is not ideal but it's hardly worthy of reporting. Seen far worse at local shows.

What do you mean by that post Dry Rot?

In regards to the video, I think you're overreacting hugely OP!

18 years and 3 months

Wouldn't allow any of them near any of mine until they had received some more education and learned respect that ponies are not machines. I do think that if they ARE fifteen years old then they should have started to learn more, you won't get off with that once you move up to horses.
