Well not exactly, but I think the local evening paper seem to be making it out that way

A WOMAN was attacked by a horse while out walking in Maryport yesterday.
The woman, in her 40s, was walking her dog at around noon through a field at Moat Hill, behind the Co-op store, when a large black horse charged at her from 300 yards away.
The terrified woman was knocked to the ground and injured by the animal, which then went after her dog.
She said: Ive never been so scared in my life.
I was nowhere near it. It went for me from about 300 yards, right across the field.
I was on the floor and it was walking all over me. I thought I was going to be killed.
The woman, who did not wish to be named, said a man was also attacked by the same horse last week and she was worried for the safety of others walking along the stretch of land, which is recommended to tourists in a guide book of Maryport walks.
The woman said she was lucky to escape with just a bruise to her right knee and aches in her shoulders and back, and is now recovering at home with painkillers.
Cumbria Police said they were liaising with Allerdale Council to determine who is responsible for the land at Moat Hill and also trying to find out who owns the horse.

It looks evil doesn't it. Some people really do overreact - she was nearly killed because it floored her and bruised her knee
Don't mean to sound unsympathetic but the poor bloody pony (there is a photo of it standing and not just its head on front of the paper, it's no bigger than about 14hh) is probably so wound up that if I could and go and get the poor sod and take it to mine for some peace and quiet.
Maryport's a bit iffy and full of inbred thick people, they will have tormented it until it is so screwy it doesn't feel like a horse anymore. Poor little thing.
