Kilpurnie boots from Derby House

Hi - does anyone have the Kilpurnie Excellence boots and know if they are safe to ride in?

Any other info on them welcome!

I got some last year and was very disappointed with the quality of the leather which was like cardboard. I spent ages treating them and trying to get them a bit more supple and they are a bit better now but I'd never get another pair.

Oh dear! I ordered some of their jodhpur boots last night as they are on offer! (Mind you, being Derby House, the chances of them actually turning up anytime before 2015 are remote anyway.......)

I have the delux boots, they were a bit stiff to start and rubbed my heels to start but I have odd heels anyway. They are the comfiest boots ever now a few weeks on

I really like mine but they are pretty skinny in the calf I find.

This! Mine were hideous at first and I just didn't wear them, until I totally broke my Ariats and was forced to. In no time they became the comfiest boots I've ever had and lasted ages. Lived in them and loved them. I eventually wore the sole out but the leather was still unsplit and water proof.

I've got the St Andrews ones, they're fine to ride in and very comfy.
