King cotton gold has sadly passed away

How terribly sad. He really came across as a lovely stallion who was very, very well loved by his humans.

We have a TB due to him 15th of March & she started bagging up Thursday, so fingers crossed all goes well for them both.

Good luck for a healthy mare and baby for you

I thought it was you - did you 'win' the covering at one of the stallion shows last year? It would be fab to see pictures of foalie - hope all goes well :)

Heartbreaking for all concerned. He was an amazing stallion with a fantastic temprement and attitude to life. I am lucky enough to have bred one of his babies and have to say that his temprement is hereditary! My 'baby' is now officially a yearling and is a fab wee guy. He has already won in the show ring and has been awarded a first premium from BEF as a potential event horse. All of his offspring have been doing amazingly well with 1 or 2 taking overall championships! So gutted for Sonya and her team as I know they thought the world of KCG but at least his name is living on.

OMG, am really shocked to hear this, what happened?

He really was a lovely horse-stunning and such a nice person to deal with. I just can't believe it :-(

I am very sad to hear this. King Cotton Gold has long been one of my pin ups!! He would have to have been a good age and lived a great life though. Thank you for the inspiration RIP King Cotton Gold.

He was only 13/14 so would have gone further in his eventing and stallion careers I'm sure :(

His stable name will be King (but the daughter is due home tonight to meet him so may be overuled). Reg name Fate's Olympic Gold, but again I suspect there will be a discussion.
