King of Diamonds - ISH

I think thats a bit uncalled for Mickey moo! Most of the people on here are not saying they had a horse BY KOD but has decendents of him on their passport. It is known by many that he died a few years ago, but he has a few sons and grandsons that are still at stud. If its on your horses passport then there is nothing wrong with saying your horse has King Of Diamonds bloodlines.

we laugh about people who say their horse is out of king of diamonds

Well I'd laugh too....its impossible to be 'out of' a stallion!

Well good luck, KOD would be perfect for the sort you want (Avoid the other two though

Mine's grand sire is King of Diamonds. He's a lovely natured horse. Has his quirks, but generally very laid back, very sweet-natured (loves cuddles) and likes to please. Very bad feet though and hence been injury-prone - mine's probably a bit of a dud, confirmation-wise!!

Yup, another one here with a KOD grandaughter. I *think* she might even be by Flagmount Boy, as that rings a bell but would have to check her passport when I get home. It is another of the green ones. I know her dad is RID and mum ISH.
She's a chunky beastie, loads of bone and big solid feet. Surprisingly agile for her size though, and a very reliable jumper. Never going to jump the moon but never known her not give something a go! She has hunted and was apparently great but a bit strong, but as an allrounder I couldn't really fault her. Her only problem is she is a little bit headshy but I think that is her upbringing rather than her breeding! She also bred a stunner of a foal a few years ago who sadly died in an accident, but he was apparently lovely

Might breed from her again one day though
