King Toby reigning supreme (brakes not included)

I have visions of local HHO-ers all descending on VV on the 28th, just to catch a glimpse of Toby, strutting his funky stuff!

Are you plaiting him up again? A running plait with some Bling would be very fetching!

Oh lord this is going to be mortifying I'm also doing a DR test on the 28th of Aug called 'Intro A' (an eventing DR test), and based on the pics above I suspect your going to thrash my arse in the % :o :o
Oh the shame! Must sell useless WBx and get me a flashy Shetland!

;) :P

Lots of pics and a video if possible! If I win the lottery between now and then I might just scrap the ODE and fly to Vale View to watch! :) Good luck.

PS the matchy mathcy is the best set yet!! :D

He's such a little dude! I'm loving his baby blue matchy matchy.

I would love to be the writer for that test to get to hear what the judge has to say.

he's about 9hh so tall for a shetland, he's 5ft in rugs too, so a big un!

he will of course be plaited, and will have white bandages and lots of dead sheep and bling!

im doing a test on on a clients connie on same day, pony day at VV!!!!

You will not be popular in the warm up - he is going to FREAK a lot of horses methinks!

What a dude - is his custom made fluff a dead lamb then as oppose to a sheep? :D

Oh my he is so cute! I am going to show this thread to my instructor who has recently started riding her driving pony toimprove his driven dressage as she said she can work on his way of going more easily from the saddle - she is about 5'10 and slim like you OP and hers is a 13hh exmoor and she's concerned that people might not appreciate how easily he carries her if she goes out to do a test!

Thanks guys, lovely to read all your support and well wishes.

Some of your comments have really made me laugh!!

There will be lots of photos and will try and get someone to record the test as well!!

9hh? 36ins? Medium sized for a Shettie really, tall would be 10.2hh/42ins :)

No matter though, he is as cute as a button. Looking forward to seeing pics of him in his competition glory :)

love the blue starry matchy matchy and of course obligatory dead sheep :D today intro A... tomorrow PSG, after all, the only thing to improve that picture would be top hat and tails ;) :D :p

He is just the most fabulous beastie I've seen in ages!!!! Love him to bits and love your big smiles. Good luck for your test, I'm cursing living in Scotland right now as I want to come and watch!!

Bless his little cotton starry socks!!

Just seen your bit in H&H this week, do you think Bates do an innova in shettie size?

Your doing so well and it's great to see the lil fella enjoying his work and blossom. He'll be a real publicity boost for all those Shetlands left standing in the fields doing nothing.

Well done you, and I can't wait either for those comp pics.... and maybe a lil rosett for the lil champ!

I so hope he behaves himself. It would be AWESOME if he got placed....Tobys first ever rosette! As long as I don't end up on the floor I'll be chuffed to bits with him!

And Roody2 - Hah!! If they did I'd have one in a shot. I have so NOT been ebaying patent crank bridles for him....!

Ha brilliant! Wish I was going to be mobile by then and I'd come and watch (sadly I'll still be on bed rest then)

So when is the pas de deux with Bert then!?!? Lol, saw you'd friended RP on FB, so you MUST be planning it!

Joking aside though, when I used to ride bert a lot it massively improved my position, balance and stickability! Bruce will seem like a breeze to ride!
