Took Dozzie to the Berks and Bucks fun ride on Sunday. Just trying to re-establish her cross country and as it was local i thought I would trog along and do a few little jumpies! Well to start off with there were little jumpies but as the course went on they got bigger...and bigger!!!

Dozzie did lots of the bigger ones so was really pleased. Just one hairy moment at some lorry tyres when she decided to stop. I normally make her jump from a standstill if the jumps are small but thought these were a bit big so went to turn her away at which point she decided to clamber over! LOL! It was one leg at a time! Bless!

HOWEVER!!!!!! Whilst I had a good day....

I was talking to a steward at the top of a steep hill who was saying that the jump at the bottom was a bit tricky. I thought I would wait and see. As I walked down the hill I saw a group of riders tackling the fence. Then the last rider fell off. I carried on down thinking she hasnt got up yet... Then a horse and rider came galloping up the hill towards me saying the girl had broken her leg!

I reached the bottom of the hill and it was quite clear that the girl was injured. Her leg was at a very funny angle.

She had fallen in the middle of a small track so no-one could get past. About 10 minutes later, poss more, a landrover turned up. Paramedics had been called by now. So we await another 10-15 minutes. Still nothing... No ambulance...yet we had heard the sirens... Another landrover turns up...The guy asks where the paramedics are as they were very close by when he had set off from the start. (The problem was we couldnt get past to get to the track and show the paramedics where to go)

5 minutes later a lonely paramedic comes up the path. His 4WD had failed and the ambulance was in the ditch!!!!!

So poor girl was carried to the ambulance, which then had to be towed out of the ditch by the landy! Hope she is ok.

Guess what...I decided not to jump the jump!
