Hi, Has anyne heard of or used / owns a kiss equestrian treeless saddle??? I have been looking at various manufacturers and whilst I dont want to be seen as being "cheap! I want a decent treeless saddle without spending a small fortune! Came acroos Kiss Equestrona and they looked like quite nice saddles. Anyone used or has one? Also can anyone reccomend other makes that are resonably priced? I would prefer a dressage style saddle as this is what I am used to but would concider GP if need be. Cannot afford a MH or Solution Saddles and not seen many second hand ones for sale. Thanks!

You wouldn't consider buying a bargain basement tree'd saddle.....but you are willing to take a chance on a cheap treeless?

I've never seen a Kiss Equestrian saddle and I've never heard a review of them, despite using treeless saddles for 10 years.

They may be the best thing since slice bread.

Or they may be cobbled together with little understanding by an amateur (like Dream Team saddles).

Either way I would only use a saddle brand I could trust.

If you need bargain basement then get a Libra. They are cheap but safe.

Alternatives....

If you can stretch your budget to a HM....they hold their value well for resale....

Hi Oberon, When I mean I am looking for a cheaper treeless I dont mean a £150.00 one off ebay from god knows where! I cant afford a HM unless ones comes up at a good price second hand! I am willing to spend what ever I can sell my in perfect condition Ideal Suzanna for! I am not wanting a cheap and nasty treeless just one that is reasonable for the light amount of work that I will do. I have no idea what treeless saddles are like hence asking for peoples advise. I will look at your suggestions in great detail so thanks for your feedback. You will no doubt hear from me again asking for further advise. Thanks!

Oberon, You seem like you know ur stuff so what size saddle would I need for say the freeform you added the link for? Would that fit my 12.5 tb? I am 5ft 7 and weight just under 12 stone (but on a diet so hoping to go lower!). dress size 12-14. Thanks!

The Freeform and Freemax saddles are made of a base with a changeable seat.

So you have a standard base size and can have a larger or smaller seat, depending on your wishes.

Eg my Freeform is 17.5 and that fits my Tank (short backed, 16.1hh, draft) and my ample, roomy ass but it is too long for my 14.3hh Arab.

I reckon a 17inch Freeform would be plenty for a 15.2.

This is my saddle with The Tank

My Torsion is 16inch - equivalent to a 17inch saddle and it's fitted on everything from a 14hh pony to The Tank. It is my Arab's saddle really...

I did have a HM that I got from eBay for £600 but I sold it on to a friend for the same amount, as I felt more comfortable and stable in my Freeform.

Thanks Oberon! By the way I love your Arab!! Tank looks nice too ! Thanks your advise I will take a closer look at the links. I asume I would have to find a saddler that was into Treeless saddles to come and fit it etc?!!

I starte researching treeless's about 5yo ago now and ended up with a cheyenne. Dont regret it, whenever I hit a skint patch I threaten to sell it but can't bring myself to do it.

I love it.

The new synthetic HM saddles actually have a leather tree, so need tobe fitted as with a normal saddle. They are going to be approx £385 I think, and should be available from May, I think it is.

OP, I don't know how much money you are willing to spend, but I have a GP Fhoenix (suberpanel) for sale if you want to send me a PM :)

I own two kiss equestrian saddles and can't sing their praises enough!!! And they certainly are not cheap or cheaply made unlike the eBay copies which give treeless saddles a bad name
