Hi guys just wanted to see if any one had there horse operated on recently at liphook for kissing spine? And how much it cost. My mare is due to go down there next week to undergo surgery to remove 2 processes and although insurance is paying out I am worried as to whether I will have enough left

I would ring and check. Also confirm that they are happy for the insurance to pay directly. I did that with a scan for a previous horse but rang first so knew what I had to bring in with me. I honestly can't remember though I did have to sign a form saying I would pay if the insurance would not. I was so concerned I actually had it in writing from NFU that they would pay based on the vets reports!

Ring Liphook & ask for a quote. They will work one out for you, they're very helpful.

If you aren't a direct client of theirs, but a referral, it is routine for the owner to pay the bill, then the insurers to pay back the owners. Usually, the insurer paying the vet directly is only for their own clients, rather than referrals. If they are not your routine vet, do make sure that they are happy with you to let the insurer pay, as the standard for referrals is payment on collection of horse, I believe.
