Kissing spine surgery. Saddle?

My horse had kissing spine surgery 5 weeks ago. He had 3 processes removed in saddle area. I have sold my old saddle as I don't think that was great for him. I do not have a huge budget but wondered what saddle people would recommend for when I start riding again. Thanks

Honestly, I think your best bet will to be to get a recommended saddle fitter out - suggest asking locally for recommendations if you don't know one. I wouldn't try to guess at all.

I hope your horse makes a good recovery.

I use an Albion GP and my saddler comes and checks regularly as post surgery your horse will learn to use himself correctly and build up correct muscles and probably change shape while learning a correct way of working.
I don't believe there are specific brands so much as the correct saddle for your horses shape and size.
If you have a really good saddler they may recommend a brand and size so you can find a second hand one and then come back and fit it specifically.

My own horse operated on oct 2012 is doing brilliantly and has changed shape so much.
