No controlling cats - they have their own projects to do bringing gifts to mummy. Just be thankful you don't live in the US - a friend in Michigan used to have garter snakes brought in by proud mog.

Lol - My parents have a similar problem with their young cats, although I think the dogs are worse. When my Belle was a pup she was sick on the carpet and a little frog launched itself out of the sick!!! Mum almost fainted lol.

Keep saving them though Kick On coz there aren't enough frogs in the world. Also the bat which is protected by law though I doubt if your moglets know that! Cats are hard wired to chase things that move fast so hoppy froglets are easy prey to a young kitten. Mine used to bring earthworms in and leave them to die on the carpet when the wriggles got slower. And I still recall with a shudder {{shudders again}} the hideous day when one brought a huge house spider in, with the legs still squirming around the side of mog's mouth. Could you set aside an old bucket - half fill with water and put a couple of large stones in. Put a lid on it and you could pop rescued hoppies in there and only do a return-to-the-wild run every other day? Or post them to me coz I have a frogless fish pond!

i'm a very good girl, as cats don't seem to be able to kill them (out of about 60 frog they only kill one

)

So i do collect them into tin with air holes and then take them down to yard which is atleast 5miles away and release them at a side of huge pond on farm land by small wood.

i just wish they would leave them alone........... but then they are very good at killing the local bird life aswell!!!!!!!!!!. Never had such KILLERS before

think id be locking the cat flap!

BUT i would miss my nightly cuddles with each kitten acting as my Guard Cats at end of bed!!!
cos they are very very cuddly cats........................just hate FROG thing.................

My friends cat brings in live squirrels, i think she had three live ones and a dead one under her bed. She was not happy when she found it under the bed and the live ones are a nightmare to catch and put back out. They have some very eventful evenings!!

i know but cant you de frog them then let them in and keep them in for the night??
( the cats that is - not the frogs!)

I've tried that one and in morning i put them out whilst having bath/breakfast and within 10mins they have caught one of those blooming things esp if damp or being raining in night...............

And i also have an old cat who as worked out how to open a locked cat flap...................... so i think there may be cat chats about how to unlock flap in garden !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So in a way not point locking it

I knew someone's cat who would bring back water shrews and dump them on his doorstep! And another friend's cat brought home a mole! I've never seen one before and it was so small!

Years ago when I was living at home, our kitten Gerry brought a frog in, it was in my mum's bedroom. I thought I would be brave and pick it up.
It Peed in my bloody hand! I screamed and threw it on to Mum's bed!

NEVER again will I pick up a frog.

Last nite catch...................................... UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

images me releasing them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love frogs. My Cat is nearly a year now and the pond is by our back door and she plays but hasnt brought any in yet. She does however steal socks of the clothes horse which is quite useful as I can blame her for all the odd ones.

my cat is a serial offender - mice, birds and shrews - thankfully at the moment he is finishing them off instead of just letting them go alive in the house (although it is ruining my carpet) - i have many stories about chasing mice about the house, one ran up my dressing gown sleeve once - ah, the pleasure of kitties!
