I know this is probably in the wrong place, but does anybody know of any kittens looking for a loving home. We came home from work today to find our cat dead on our lawn, I now have some very upset kiddy's and i need to find one asap. I live in Ely Cambs i don't want to travel too far.

Cats Protection have lots needing new homes. what about a young cat, not a kitten, but one needing a family?

Can I put in a good word for Wood Green animal shelter? They aren't too far from you and I got my cat from the Godmanchester shelter which isn't too far from you - they have usually got kittens as well as cats. They ask for a donation to cover the spaying/neutering costs but it isn't much and all their kitties need homes! They were brilliant.

That's where i got the cat from that we lost today, we have only had him a year. I will be ringing all the resuse homes in the morning. I just thought it might be worth asking on here first.

We had to decide that due to our road becoming a rat run, our kittens would have access to an aviary pe garden area from the house and not go out where they could get on the road, as they have no sense of self preservation.

Previous cat was a Cat's Protection one who had been abandoned, and had some road sense but hardly ever went out the front of the house, so lived to a ripe old age.

None of the local centres had kittens when we were looking so found ours on kittenlist website, you can search by county.
Some are pricey pedirgrees, others are non pedigree moggies or cross breds.

I have grown up with Bumese cats (and still have them at home) and can highly recommend them.

Here is the link for the breeds page and they have both kittens and older cats looking to be rehomed: http://www.burmesecatclub.com/

Burmese (or at least all the ones that I have had) are very very friendly and very good with children of all ages. They are quite noisy but in a good way and love attention and playing. They never bite or scratch nastily and are very quick learners. If you want any more info on them let me know by PM. Hope this helps.
