Poor kitty went on a roam for a day or two and when I saw him this morning he was coughing and had brown around his mouth/backend. So rushed him to the vet and they were fully booked but kept him as he was classed as potential emergency.

possibly flu so I’m waiting for a vaccination lecture but these things happen especially when there farm/wild cats. Other cat is vaccinated as a kitten so he is still within a year so fingers crossed it hasn’t spread.
I do worm him but he’s a very large cat I hope I haven’t accidentally been under worming :/

He’s dehydrated and on a drip they need to sedate him to scope the back of his throat, he has got a temp but lungs clear and abdomen clear so possibly something stuck? Poor boy.

Kitty’s home and in his bed. He’s got some sort of infection vet was concerned to begin with about antifreeze poisoning ? but the fluids perked him up a bit so have to keep a close eye over the weekend and theyll see him again on Monday.

I realize i was one of those "post and don't update" ones.

Kitty went downhill again and had to go back to the vets on the monday. He was almost dehydrated but the fact i was literally syringing water into his mouth every hour probably helped him not be. He had not eaten food/pooed for about 2 days the water i was syringing had meat juice and blitz meat in it so he at least had something nice in him. He had lost a grand total of zero kg lol

He was given a fast steroid and sent home with some more in tablet form, he managed a little roast beef after the steroid. Still had to syringe fluids as he was not drinking at all. Felt a bit perkier after a few days of the steroids and started going back to normal thank goodness :D
