Hi, I have been recomended to use one of these, but they are very expensive!!! Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative? Also if it is a training bit can i check if it is dressage legal, and could it be used long term?

Neue Schule are the cheapest exact alternative (circa £35)
Otherwise standard lozenge snaffles are freely available, but are not quite as well shaped (Circa £14)

If so I have one which is 5-5inch that I would be willing to sell
And no as far as I am aware it is not dressage legal but stand to be corrected on that

The jointed ones with lozenge in the middle are dressage legal. Look on ebay or go for a copy Neue Schule do them.
