I really really hope I never have to call them, but I was wondering if anyone could PM or post on here the number of the local knackerman or hunt?

The "Do any of you keep a humane killer / gun at home just in case?" thread got me thinking and I only have the number of my vet, but I'd like other options, just in case something very bad happened.

Gosh, you had me very worried for a minute!

Where's your nearest hunt? I hear that Mickey at the Grafton is very good but that might be too far from you. I'm sure other people will know of other's.
 
Can also recommend Micky, very compassionate, very nice way with the horse and very professional service. Wouldnt hesitate to call him again should I ever need to.

These are the people my vets use, they have taken away two of mine.

both were injected by the vet, the second we were there for and it was very peace full. The person from Grafton who picked him up was very nice, polite and respectful as I was trying not to be a blubbering mess signing the forms before he was PTS.
 
Another one to add to the list is Courtneys. 01525 873592. Lovely guy who I've met a few times over the years, luckily not my own horses. Not heard of Grafton but have added them to my phone too.
