My 12y welsh pony show pony has been recently diagnosed with arthritis in one knee following intermittent lameness, pain on flexion and the most obvious sign, an increasing in size hard lump positioned halfway across the front and towards the outside of the knee. Since starting Global Herbs Alphabute & Movefree plus he has improved but is still in pain & I find it v upsetting. He was on Danilon but it had v little effect in comparison to GH supplements. I just wondered whether anyone else had any other suggestion, I am open to anything at all, I have always tried anything!
Thanks for any help

my old horse had arthritis and x rays showed a very old fracture which was the cause of the arthritis. she had cortisone(I think) injections to the joint and this helped and I also kept her on 1 bute a day and also fed her cortaflex. she was virtually sound most of the time and seemed quite happy to hack out unfortunately I lost her at age 24 due to a stifle problem .....hope this helps a bit

thanks for this. I think X-rays may be the way to go with ours, just don't know why he should have developed this & not sure what's going on, so I suppose looking in side is the only way!
