Firstly the sarcoid.
My horse has had a sarcoid for about 2 years now (i think) It is small, in a place that doesn't affect his movement/rub against anything and since it didn't grow and was just 'on the skin' I didn't worry or do anything about it.

Now it has been growing a little this spring. Not really very noticable until today. I will get the vet to check it, when they come out to do his teeth, but I have heard that sometimes veterinary treatment that they use to take them off can make more sarcoids come up in the same place that one has been taken off. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Secondly the knee boots.
He fell over in stable and got a nasty cut on his knee. 3 months later all is fine except a slight lump and scar. He has never tripped when hacking before, but if he does trip is it likly to do more damage now the skin is damge. Basically, knee boots or not? Thanks

Sarcoids. My horse had one last year, between his front legs,I put Blood Root cream on it and its gone down to a small lump, but still there but smaller.Im going to start the cream again.
Id ask your vet for some Blood Root cream its very effective.
Hope all gets sorted!!

My horse tripped on a bridleway a couple of years ago, as the ground was hard she suffered minor cuts which healed well with no scarring.
I purchased some westropp combined brushing and knee boots, while hacking on the roads a couple of months ago she went down on both knees. the boots were brilliant the damage to the strike pads showed how serious the injury would have been without them.
They are quick and easy to fit, wash in the machine and stay put off road in deep going.
They do come up large in size so you need a size smaller than usual but for peace of mind I recommend them highly.
