that stay in place (iykwim!) Normally wear the tesco boy short style for everyday, I dont know whether theyve changed the shape slightly but I now find they're awful for riding in, end up halfway up me bum which is very painful. So can I have your recommendations for some proper riding briefs, not stupidly expensive please and comfy enough to wear to hack out in for a couple of hours. Thank you

M&S no VPL ones seem to work best for me. I know of someone who broke her finger trying to adjust her knickers whilst galloping!

Nice pair of m&s mid rise/Apple catchers! Also hung onto couple of pairs of nix I bought when pregnant..3 sizes bigger than what I am..they're quite comfy & can tuck an under layer top in too!

Just got some cheap Sloggi ones from TKMaxx and also some full granny knickers from M&S. The type with Lycra in rather than just plain cotton. Both are doing well and don't ride up off my thigh and get into any nooks or crannies :D
Also can't wear the shorts type as they won't stay where they're supposed to:o

i used to have that trouble with short style pants = always rode up where they shouldnt (tried correct size, up a size and down a size and they all did the same!)
i now swear by tesco (or similar) bikini style - so v low rise types
they stay in all the right places :) and i find a less offensive VPL than the high leg version that looks awful under breeches :o

I can only assume that the people advocating thongs have not had children and the indiginity of stitching etc in said area.:eek:

I'd prefer to ride with nothing that risk a cheese grater thong!!

Thongs are a complete no no for me! So it's M&S briefs which are available in a nice pack of 5 at a reasonable price. I must be getting old!!!

Go for seamless shorts, they're like a stretchy material. Not very nice for hot summers but you can't see them through jods (got a special white pair for shows as they're good for under white jods haha) if not cotton, 'granny pants'.

Sadly there's no sexy and comfortable I don't think, sorry husbands out there :P
