Poor owner has said on another forum she doesnt know where to turn and that Roxy the mare is due to foal in 5 weeks as well.

The police have apparently said there`s nothing they can do unless it happens again.

WTF !!!!!

Showing a bit of interest might help for starters.

Make some enquiries , put the yard under surveilance.

If someone attacked you or me the police wouldnt say they couldnt do anything unless it happens again.

That would be lovely, clearly you have no idea of the costs in terms of technology or man hours in surveillance, and even if a shadowy figure is captured on film, identifying them is another challenge
Once you have asked everybody in the immediate area if they saw anything, and published a press report you have effectively exhausted all your potential lines of enquiry
I hope the horse owner has bought an alarm system for the stable yard at least.

Sick Sick Sick Sick ..........I remember when it all started in the early 92's when they suspected that it was a sect doing the slashing....Dont understand how anyone can do that do any animal/living creature ????? They must have some knowledge how to handle a horse and must have equipment with them to hold them ie a headcollar..How i hope that they would attempt to do it with 1 of mine, they would be caught since he would kick the living sh*t out of them...
PLEASE dont read it as that i WANT them to harm any of my horses....But if they tried he would kick them to bulp

This is exactly what happened to my lad in Nov and we're in Berks
