Knobberisms: "The Great Rug Murders of 2011" and "Getting my Own Back"

This thread is making me feel a bit better (at the expense of others I'm afraid). My ginger lady has never been a problem with rugs... until now and I'm still in the dark about what she managed to do. I recently moved her to new winter retirement grazing and put her trusty Rambo Duo and liner on her. Went to check her over one lunchtime and walked past her bottom 3 times (it WAS foggy), starting to panic cos I couldn't see a ginger pony in a navy rug. Turned round, saw her face looking at me and realised it was because she didn't have a rug on any more.....

Found the liner in pieces in the field, couldn't see the outer at all. The YO found it a day or so later (the field is 66 acres) and it is more or less in one piece (a few tears in the lining) with straps done up including neck cover. How the **** she got out of it I have no idea! She spent one night out naked and of course it rained and turned a bit colder. I felt so guilty - I'm feeling bad enough about turning her away anyway, woke up at 3am feeling awful and did an emergency dash to the field the next morning (in rush hour, biiig mistake) to put a spare rug on her. She was fine of course :)

My cobblet is a hooligan with rugs.Last summer I bought him a brand new fly sheet, thought it might help keep the flies off,ha ha 2 days later it was totally mutilated,in shreds.I had a lovely lightweight turnout rug for cool days, oh my now in holes and shreds and un repairable..I managed to fix his BN rug he had last year. Right now hes naked.

He pulled the rope through my hands on Sunday morning and peed off up the yard so he isn't being that good don't worry! And he threw a headcollar at me this morning and tried to push me over whilst I picked his feet out!
and aww, how lovely. A dun knobber! :)

Oh that is good news, good boy BH :D

Knobber mk1 was actually bay, just in the summer he nearly 'dunned' out a bit. This is he in his actual colouring! Note the death grip, since this photo had been preceeded by a spectacular display of knobberness (it was his first show)
