I have noticed that Marnie has been knocking her hind feet together when being ridden. She isn't very fit which I think is part of the problems, and also she is quite bow legged behind which doesn't help! She has sheared her feathers and I am worried that she is going to damage her coronet band. I am struggling to get boots to fit to help prevent this and wondered if anyone had any ideas - I have put photos below to help try and describe the issues! She has short pasterns, quite a lot of bone and a lot of feather - I don't really want to trim this as I can't get clippers near her and if I do it with scissors, she ends up looking like rats have been chewing her! I have tried a sausage boot on her and it wouldn't go anywhere near round her leg!
Thanks for any help - sorry this got a bit long!
