In answer to various forum members' queries, we can confirm that the users Kookymoose and _Charlie_ are not accessing the forum from the same location.

Whilst I have no idea whats been going on I would like to point out that it is very easy to use a friends/relatives/OH's computer at a different location and set up a new free email account, is it not?

I think if you look on the Kookymoose post in the SoapBox, more or less everyone said they didn't think it was her.

Of course that is easy. It is slightly more tricky to post from the two different locations pretty much simultaneously though, which I believe was the case here

PMSL - its not like she's ever done that before, had a different ID and swore blind it wasn't her... Maybe not on this occassion but all the same...

The only shame on anyone is the shame on both people named in this title - for what they said to someone devastated by the loss of their horse.

Unforgiveable no matter if they are one person, two people or a whole bl**dy room full of people with multiple personality disorder. There was absolutely no need for the downright evil comments.

I was hoping the post would say they'd been banned for the content of their posts and damn right it was liable to cause distress to another user - in fact - the exact breach of Ts and Cs is

4.3 Do not post rude or abusive messages - including personal attacks on other Users.

can't see for the life of me why Admin is pandering to her TBH..
 
Whilst I have no interest in the charlie/km debate, it is seriously easy to change/hide/alter your IP address on one computer. Some routers do it every time you reconnect as I understand it, and people should be aware of this.

Alternatively try:

http://www.proxyway.com/www/hiding-ip-address-free/hide-ip-address-tool.html
http://www.iprivacytools.com/
http://www.ip-adress.com/hide_my_ip/

So saying they come from different locations/IP addresses really does not prove anything either way. I find it best to trust people based on what I think about them then alter that opinion if/when I am proven wrong. I don't really have an opinion on Charlie.

Of course Admin may have some other way of knowing they are in 'different locations' rather than using IP addresses, in which case ignore this post.....
 
Bloody well said Gingernags! I think it is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS and i couldn't care less whether Charlie is Kookypants she/he/it/they should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
 
Gingernag... can you not let something lie? A few members accused me of something which was untrue. But people still have to drag it on and on, which really doesnt make things better does it?

and regarding personal attacks, would that not see half the forum banned after last night? two wrongs never make a right. I think statements such as 'you are a bitch/ evil/ vindictive' etc etc and 'I'll come to your yard and see you face to face' (which was personally threatening) are just as much personal attacks as anything i said.


Please can this be put to bed now? an apology was made.


I am off to spend my day with my children and refuse to get dragged into this again. I will leave if and when i choose to, not when others tell me I should do so.

Not really followed this much just came in to see the last thing posted but, how has Admin worked this out? I have 3 laptops on my desk at the moment (sad I know) and all three have different IP addresses one of them originating in the US so how would admin know where individual computers are?

My only other comment is to agree with JM, shame on them! I really could care less about nasty comments generally, it is all part of forum life but those posted by these two, at a distressing time and with a child involved were really beyond the pale.
 
you just need two different browsers with one going through a proxy so they cannot track your cookies
 
It's very simple to set up different IPs on the same PC, or simply have 2 PCs (different IPs)....not rocket science in the slightest. Not that I'm saying that's what happened...

However. IMO if you need to continually defend what you said /did then maybe it would have been better to think a little more before saying/doing it???
 
A decent and believeable PUBLIC apology from both yourself and KM would probably go a long way towards letting things drop. Not hidden in another post.

And though the main apology should be to Jane and her daughter, you've upset most of the forum - which has manifested itself in people defending JJ, which was always going to happen given the appalling judgement in ever posting what you did, never mind removing it afterwards.

I think you owe everyone an apology, as does Kookymoose.

I'll say one thing though, at least you haven't lit the blue touch paper and legged it, you have at least stuck around for the fallout and tried to do something about it. KM is actually worse for bottling it...

If i posted another apology there would stilll be those who said i only apologised because I was asked to... so I'm damned if I do damned if i don't. An apology was made and was seen by Jane and those concerned. I am happy with that and TBH don't care what others think, its not you I needed to apologise to.

Never said it was me per se - I said everyone you've upset being so crass.

And don't forget - I did say KM too - so if you've done enough to satisfy your conscience - thats up to you - but KM is very quiet on the whole thing and hasn't even bothered to respond to the level you have.
 
Whether you stay or go has to be up to you, however after your rather controvertial 'I am leaving' post in SB last night (since removed I see) people were perhaps surprised to find you here today.

Hardly - probably less than 1% of forum users would have seen it - although some people have spent time fanning the flames no doubt by duplicating it in PMs, MSN or any other communication method they can find
