KP in the Jungle.

It was just Over2You's opinion, and I think we're all entitled to one. Differing opinions are what fuel discussion.

Side note: I'm tired of certain people on this forum getting involved in every argument available and ending posts with "you can't judge", and similar - it's an opinion, and if you don't like it, well, that's your opinion! And it is certainly not limited to this thread. If we all agreed on everything, these forums wouldn't even need to exist. So please people, stop getting so personal and attempt to discuss things like civilised human beings.

I guess what I was trying to say is that she should be seen to be doing a lot more than what she is. I mean, she is sending out the message that it's perfectly alright to have horses and do bugger all in the way of training or looking after them yourself. To me that is wrong. I honestly can't see the point of having animals that a team of other people look after. I'm not going to dictate much regarding what she should be doing with her money, but I think she's been a bit selfish buying top horses as she is denying the more serious, committed riders the chance of them. I mean she's got the full brother of Escapado and what is she doing with him? Not much by the looks of it. Both his and Jordan's Glamour Girl's talents have been wasted. It wouldn't be as bad if she let somebody else go out and compete on them, but as far as I know she hasn't done that. The one question I'd like answered is what she wants to be - glitzy socialite or professional equestrienne.

She also said herself that she intends to ride at the Olympics. Think it was during an interview at last year's Olympia. A few years is nothing when you factor in all the training required to ride at top level. It's definitely not something that will happen when you you partake in as many different activities. If it were me, I'd be focusing entirely on achieving that goal.

Regarding fairness. That comes into play when you think of all the riders who have had to work bloody hard to claw their way up the rankings. Not being able to afford really good horses, who struggle to find sponsors, etc. Then KP comes along thinking she can play their game too, using her wealth and clout to start at the top.

You are right, millimoo - I really should get out more. Most of my time is spent at home with my OH and our horses. I also apologize for yet another opinionated post. The internet is just too handy a place to vent my frustrations, but I'm trying not to let things bother me as much.

Over2you, hope you didn't think I was being rude.... I love the forum for it's banter and genuinely love seeing the laugh out loud threads some days.
Katie Price seems to bring out all sorts of emotions whenever she's mentioned on here!

And to reassure everyone, I do live in the real world - i.e groom, tack up, muck out etc (very sadly ). However I would have a full time groom if I was loaded

Yes we are all entitled to opinions. Mine happens to differ from hers. It happens.

Well, I know you don't mean me because I'm all for a lively debate. What gets on my wick is when someone (not O2Y in this case) posts something incredibly unpleasant directed at other forum members and is then surprised/upset/outraged/offended when said members bite back.

I was being perfectly civil, thank you.

Well, I happen to think that looking after the neddies and doing all the training is part of the fun, but I don't see it as wrong if someone chooses not to; just a shame for them.

Well, we don't know that the Escapado brother is any good (Well, I don't), and I'm sure there are loads of cracking horses going to unambitious homes and being 'wasted'.
I don't think she'll ever be a professional equestrienne, but if she wants to ride as a hobby, why not? Lots of us do it

I don't think anyone really believes she'll get to the olympics. I used to say I'd ride at Badders

But she isn't at the top. She's not even in the middle! Life is unfair. Some people get more breaks then others. Some people have loads of money, some have to work hard, some have to do both. Some people can't afford horses at all, does that mean you or I shouldn't have them? Course not. Fact is, KP could buy Totilas and she STILL wouldn't be good enough to get to the Olympics.

for f------ sake, she's gone from the wretched jungle now, leave the poor cow be and get a life! is there no end to this bitching about Katie Price?

Please mind who you direct your comments to. I do not bitch and I have a life, thanks

Wonder if she reads the forum? That just entered my head! It's entirely possible... when she's not busy... doing other things (proud of my tongue holdage at this moment)

Oh my... my immediate response was rather unkind (to KP, not you

) I shall refrain from making it... *oh... the... strain... it's... so... di... ffi... cult...*

are you for real?? have the tits but the rest has gone to seed due to pending old age!! no, i think its time to leave the poor girl alone, the public have had their "fun"( for wont of a better word) with her and nows the time to pack it in- i think.

So does AG not come into this category then? Doesn't he deserve the chance to ride KP's horses?
