Now, to prove i'm no snob, I headed off to the derby house stand to see what all the fuss was about. Frankly, I'll be honest... i would not be seen dead in a pink velour tracksuit top at the yard. It's fine if you're 6. But even I, at 16, would NOT wear this stuff. And it's not just that I have an aversion to pink... I don't. But it's completely chavvy! They can't be selling this stuff, surely?! I wouldn't turn up to a show with one of their "show rugs" on my horse, with KP in diamante as the logo. Please tell me noone bought any of this stuff?!

I thought it was hideous - cheap (well I didn't look at the prices, but certainly looked it) and definitely nasty. It will be interesting to see how much of it Derby House sell - they certainly can't have sold a lot else as their stand, which is usually pretty well stocked with better stuff, didn't seem to have much else on it.

I know, I went expecting my usual Derby House middle-price-range breeches that last forever, and got this cheap nasty pink stuff! Would KP herself wear it out riding?! Guessing it's just another attempt at money spinning for her, she probably hasn't even seen the stuff yet.

I called in on Saturday afternoon - I wondered what the pink balloons were about!! I thought the KP range was terrible I cant understand what Derby House are thinking of. I wouldnt be seen dead in it.

I took 2 16year old girls with me, and they were horrified, at the shades of Pink. They tried to give the stuff the benefit of the doubt, but it screamed Chav so much it was awful.
Derby house appear to have pinned a lot on this KP stuff selling because if you removed the stock there was not a lot of anything else on their stand.
Having watched the BBC news (yes the main 6 O'clock news) KP was filmed on there with queues of people with pink in thier hands and books to be signed. The longer KP gets main news billing the more of those clothes we will see !!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't see any queues on Sunday though or anyone when I passed with anything pink in their hand either.

The really sad thing is that those who have happily been gathering pink boots/rugs/headcollars etc for years just because they liked it will probably have to stop now incase anyone thinks it's KP pink c***p.

My daughter and I have this on-going thing about all things pink! ( As PF will tell you!)She loves our horses to be dressed in pink... I think navy is so much smarter! So only our MGA pony is allowed to wear pink.... (because she buys all his stuff with her pocket money!)

At Burghley..the pink balloons drew her in like a magnet...but once there..'OMG...Yuk!'

Now bearing in mind this is a 14 year old Princess of Pink... it was all too much....much too much.

So no, we won't be buying the KP range... and I didn't exactly see a queue at the till either....

well, i'll brace myself for howls of derision, but i bought the KP headcollar for my mare Katy (Katy Princess, obviously). i thought the rest of the stuff was a bit vile but i looked all over the place for a nice pink headcollar and the KP one was by far the nicest.
only wanted pink because she needs a new headcollar and the colour will remind me not to stick it on any of the other horses!
so, no pink velour hotpants here, but a nice pink headcollar, yep, sorry!

*goes over to the pink side*

It stopped me in my tracks when I walked past the stand on Thursday morning! I couldn't believe DH were pinning everything on this range - they had virtually nothing on the rest of the stand.

We commented that only 12 yr olds would buy it - and they were the only ones we saw with the bags!!

I saw KP / Jordan walking through the showground on Saturday. She was wearing the whitest jods you've ever seen (in all that mud!) and one of her pink jackets. She had on the most make-up I've ever seen on one person and she's SOOO thin. Her thighs are the width of my upper arms (and I thought I was quite slim....apparently not!)

lol - doubt anyone in your part of the world has ever heard of KP fortunately. I didn't really know who she was tbh until her name came up on here a few times and I still wouldn't recognise her if she walked past me in Sainsbury's!

I really like Katie Price and think good on her for her getting in to riding but I was so disappointed in her range of clothing.

I also think that her comments about 'shaking up the equestrian industry' is very patronising - there are lots of companies that are dedicated to us horsey peeps who have created brands that offer lovely clothes, good quality and things people actually want to wear and here her marketing people come in and make out we are completely stuck in the dark ages - we have coped quite well without her I think!!!! Got my back up a little bit - i know the industry can be a little backwards but we are not so out of touch that we all look hideous and take no pride in what we look like!! Ok, rant over...

She looks awful [unwell awful]and her range of clothing is truely quite hideous.
As for launching it a Burhley, i dont think the evenytng crowd would, on the whole be seen dead in it!! I mean they have only just got used too bandages that are'nt brown , blue or black!!! cant see the pink working some how!!!!
As for DH i am so sad as the shop in Olney is now rubbish, so its now Inches for me if i want anything half decent!! and not PINK errr yuck!!!
KP , i am afraid to say does little for our sport, she is in it for no other reason than self promotion. Yes she rode a bit but for someone who is supposed to have been riding for a long time she is.nt that good at it!!!
She has a lovely horse a supper trainer and she gets what..... Mid 60's at prelim.Yeh right ,real Olympic potential there. For me it degrades the work and skill that it takes to dedicate yourself to a goal and to sport and it in no way promotes equestrian sport in a good light.... so now we ; the equestrian comunity are either a bunch of 'toffs' or 'Tarts' great!!!
There are people who i teach , and on here who have a lot less help and horse power and acheive a lot more as they do it for themselves and their horse not for self gain... grrr she drives me Nutts!!!

Exactly my thoughts - I think KP has alienated a lot of people by claiming to bring 'glamour and colour' to the horse world as though she is saving us all from dowdiness

I went to the DH stand looking for reasonably priced breeches for my 15yo son. They had no men's stuff at all. Got by a member of staff that men don't wear breeches for riding!!!! I go through Olney every day but I shan't bother with Derby House.

The thing is PINK has been around for a while now.

I like pink (And lots of other colours), I have a lilac tottie top and a pink Joules body warmer (That was a prize) but I am more than happy to wear them.

As for wearing KP clothes. Sorry no. I have not seen them but they look bad enough in the pictures to me!!!!!

I wear cerise & navy for my XC colours and have these colours in my lorry, im actually starting to like cerise a bit! But I detest this clothing range! Its awful!

I went past the stand at Burghley and saw all the pink balloons and the tradestand was empty
