The cat kicking footballer Kurt Zouma has just received a 12 month community order and 180 hours of unpaid work after pleading guilty to two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal as well as being banned from keeping cats for five years. Victory.

I just hope that any voluntary or additional work that he caries out or any work outside the football club has been taken into account.

He is being punished.Apart from the disgrace, the court appearance and the 180 hours of community service he has to do his club have fined him £250.000 which has been distributed to various animal welfare charities. He has been banned from keeping cats for five years and the two involved have been rehomed by the RSPCA.The RSPCA, without in any condoning what he did said that the cats had otherwise been well looked after.
I don't like what he did and agree that he should be punished but I think there should not be a media pile on.He made a mistake and hopefully he will have learned from it.

Yes. He and his brother will have learned not to post videos of them abusing their pets on line .

Meanwhile, what about the Essex fox stabber? Filmed on covert CCTV in December 2021, man (clearly identifiable) was arrested and interviewed by police. It's since gone very quiet.

I'm afraid that has had me in tears. That is despicable, I think that' act of cruelty is one of the worst things I have ever seen. I know where I'd love to drive that fork and it has nothing to do with any animal. How that poor animal must have suffered during that attack.

Apparently my friend told me his name and address has been leaked on a anti hunt website.

He's learnt his lesson about putting video clips online....

He should have been banned from keeping ANY animal for 5 years. I think there is also a rabbit in the household and the ban given does not stop him abusing a puppy or other pet his 4 children might have.

All he'll do is make sure it's behind closed doors and not filmed....

Once an abuser always an abuser and plenty of evidence over the years that this is the case.

Should have been banned from animal ownership for LIFE. What use is five years? How arbitrary is that?
