If anyone sees any for sale please can you let me know

Seems you can't buy them new anymore and I recently bought some second hand ones and I really love them. They help my foot and ankle so much

So I need to find some more for future years

Why would you ever use something like that - they are so dangerous - you could get your whole leg caught in the loop and be seriously dragged.

Not surprised they are no longer available. Would not be legal for any competition

have you ever seen a pair in real life? If not then I do not think you are in a position to criticise. I use them because they reduce my pain dramatically!!

the straps at the back fall away if you put pressure on them!

No I haven't but I can see an enormous loop of straps that could entrap your leg should you fall off.

I can also see that they would be comfortable to ride in. I use the springy endurance stirrups, they have a wider tread and the spring in them absorbs some of the impact. I too have a bad ankle on one side and hip on the other.

Well there isn't a loop that you could actually get caught in!!!

I have those stirrups too, I can manage to school in the most days. But I have hd multiple surgeries including 2 ankle replacements and I suffer rheumatoid arthritis so a lot of sore joints

NO LOOP!
Have another good look! You have the strap to the stirrup in front, and a strap to the stirrup at the back, and you have a great big hokey gap between them!

I can understand that you would find them comfortable. Do though consider the safety impact on yourself, if you come off and your foot slips inside that gap you could end up caught up!

How rude!!!!!! You do not have the faintest idea what you a re talking about. I can't even be bothered to explain anymore

OP, can I ask about ankle replacements? It just I have been told its not possible to do this, but a fusion only :confused3:

Some des do tell patients that it isn't possible. Ask your gp to refer you to Oswestry orthopaedic mr Laing. He did it for me partly so I could
keep riding and partly because I have rheumatoid arthritis

can i just ask (being interested having a dodgy ankle myself) how an ankle replacement works and what bone is replaced?

Can you photo the release areas?

TBH the concept is great and for me would be ideal, my concern was the risk of getting caught in them.

Will take some tomorrow. Can I suggest you try to word posts like these a little more friendly, they came across quite rude and if it weren't for those asking about the ankle replacement I probably wouldn't have come back to the thread at all
