Kwikbeet vs sugarbeet

Someone asked what they should feed their horse thats non heating and keep weight on so I suggested kwikbeet amongst other things. She said she refuses to feed it as its been processed more than normal sugarbeet hence it only takes 10 mins to soak.

What is she on about, what is the different between the too and why does one take 10 minutes and the other take 24 hours?

I always understood that the likes of speedi beet was micronised flakes of sugar beet , whereas sugar beet is big chunky cubes .... If that makes sense?! So the speedi beet can take 10 minutes because there's so little of it, it is a fraction of a cube of sugar beet.

Kwikbeet is shredded beet that's why it's quicker and usually unmolassed.
