It's probably a very numpty question, but I was looking at my new boys passport, thinking I must get my name (as new owner) changed in it, but there is no owner information in it. It's a KWPN passport.

My other horses have passports from
Weatherbys, and the Veteran Horse Society.

The Weatherbys passport, was sent to weatherbys for my details, and a non-racing clause to be added when I bought my ex-racer.

The passport from the veteran horse society, was the one I got for my old shire x when passports were first introduced, and there are instructions in the back of that about where to send it to, if the ownership changes.

However there is nothing about owners in the KWPN passport? I am confused.

Hi,

I had this same problem last year, I contacted KWPN in Holland and they said you have to send it back to them and they would do it I think it was about 43 Euros to change it, their website is www.kwpn.org.

I spoke to people at the BS offices and looked on the forum and a lot of people didn't recommend sending it to them as apparently they often have problems with them getting lost in the post, I was told you could get the passport over stamped by the British Warmblood Society so I phoned them and they were very helpful so I sent it off to them and it was all sorted. It cost me £25, the owner of my yard has just done the same. Their website is http://www.bwbs.co.uk/.

Kwpn were also very helpful though if you do decide to send it to them.

Hope this helps!
