When my boyfriend and I move into our own house we will be looking at getting a dog.

Having grown up with a lab x springer and a part lab, I adore them and would love to have a full lab - preferably chocolate or black.

I like my labs longer through the leg rather than the stocky, compact type.

Does anyone know any good breeders whose pups are similar to this?

You can get a working bred choccie, but whether it's good for working is another matter

as our current yellow lab is working bred and two of it's siblings were choccie.

This is our latest addition..she's quite leggy, although will prob be a small dog. (runt)

Or Windsor, who had a lovely set of legs on him!

Or are you after more legginess? Check out sportingundogs.com I think it is, they have a list of pups available . Or check out the KC website. You can select your region and the breed you want and you can then check out what pups are available. You'd have to go vie them though or ask the breeder about what size to expect them.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Your labradors pictured are lovely, they are the type I am thinking of, I did think the working dogs were more likely to be the leggy ones.
I will try the link, thanks xx

They're both working bred labs. I much prefer working bred labs.

If that link doesn't work, try a search under sporting gundogs on google, it should bring up the correct link.

If you like leggy Labs, then yes, go for a working bred one rather than a show bred dog!
They are also very often unbelieveably, gobsmackingly easy to train - have had many working bred Lab pups come to dog club over the years & they have almost without exception been outstanding!
(Were all superbly bred however & handled by very competent people usually but even the ones owned by utter twits were easy-peasy! lol)

There are some very good working choclate's out there but they are still heavyish in body.
My girl a worker is very leggy & slim almost whippety with loads of food stuffed down her, her litter sister is like a brick house very round!! So depends on the individual. Both parents were very normal??

Here she is

Doing what she's suppose to!
