Laces or no laces on long boots ?

I see that a lot of long boots have the laces on , others have a plain front . Which do you prefer ?

Laces as long as they are ones that you don't have to tie.

I like laces but that is cause I jump. The lace are so that you legs can do short. No laces more for dressage.

I like the look of laces - however, I can't do long boots for toffee so it's always short boots and chaps for me!

I mainly do dressage but have laces on mine

I think the laces look nicer, and give a bit more detail to the boot.
