Lack of 'Nice' Horses

Stelzar - she's lovely, unfortunately Im too far away from you being up North.

Re old ads - Im going to see a horse this weekend that was advertised for about a month and not sold. Im hoping there's nothing wrong with this horse as she was going to get sold but buyers pulled out of vetting.

there are plenty of cheap horses around .. tho they usually have an if, but, vice, quirk or confo issue. the odd bargain if you trek for miles. it really depends if your budget is correct for the spec you want/require. good honest well made horses still hold their value. potential horses tend to be realistic price, green horses are often worth a gamble. depends on your capabilities and facilities to turn a green/young one into what you want. Malvern horse sales often have nice green horses.

Very true which is why I'm getting to the end of my tether.

I'm sorry to say Penfold I don't know any breeders up that way. Goodluck at the weekend and goodluck with your search I am sure something will come up when you least expect it... don't forget to check your loacl feed merchants they may have hidden gems advertised x

Stelzar - thanks, I havent bothered looking in local feed merchants, they never have anything suitable. TBH Im beginning to think with my meagre budget I'll end up with something lame or has chronic breathing problems again.

I am positive you will find something nice especially at this time of year when people can no longer cope, how much is your budget if you don't mind me asking? Also have you tried dragon driving and carriage link... there a fair few on there that are reasonably priced... don't worry there not all driving horses a lot of them are just selling them on the website x

This looks nice for £950

Also don't discount having a small budget - I didn't have much but because her old owner wanted her to go to a good home he dropped 3.5k on the sale price of my mare for me... but then she wasn't advertised I was just VERY lucky... don't give up hope you're new best friend is just round the corner waiting for you...

Don't discount horses that you aren't instantly drawn to in adverts either - I'd never have rung up about Bell but she's the horse I've dreamt of all my life and more! xx

Thanks all. My budget is pretty good I think. i.e. I'd be happy to pay the right money if it were a special horse. Actually budget hasn't really be a factor in it apart from one 4yr which someone wanted 50k for!! It hadn't even done anything really so it had a lot to prove! Good luck to those people!
