Sorry not really horsey but just wondered if anyone has a fitted belted wax jacket. Id love the Barbour International but cant justify spending over £200 on a coat so Ive seen the Jack Orton Cotswold, Sherwood Forest Hadleigh and Caldene Bressay, all about the same price. Just wondered if anyone had one or could recommend one, also sizing etc.
Thanks :)

Try the Rydale Biker Babe (cringe) Jacket from Yorkshire Trading Co. It's not waxed, but made from waterproof fabric & has the appearance of the Barbour & Caldene jackets.

I bought it at Burghley for £39.99 & it's been much admired since. It can also go in the washing machine. Available in dark brown or navy.

I have a size 8 one for sale, brought it at Olympia, or maybe Newbury show last year. I love it, but found it usless if im honest. It isn't warm, as they have no padding being fitted. But I'm one of those 'oh thats pretty, i need myself one of those' buyers, have worn it like twice for literally 10 mins each time. Paid about £150 last year! Let me know if you would be interested in it!!

Crew clothing have one in at the moment which looks really smart.
Though I must admit to going much cheaper myself and got one from primark. Honestly - I love it! They do a navy or dark green one, I find the shape fits really nicely so I pocketed the spare £100 odd instead of getting a posh one! I'm not sure I'll get a huge amount of wear out of it, but I like the look for occasional wears with jeans on warmish days.

If only!! Sadly I will never see size 8 :(. I would stick it on Ebay, if its the Barbour, they are selling for silly money at the mo, one sold for £350!!!

I have wondered about the warmth, I want a warmish coat really, not for the stables but for work and with my jeans etc. I think they look lovely, hmmm what to do, I will be gutted if Im freezing.

I love the Crew one but its £170! Its daft as I wouldnt think twice about buying a Rambo for my horse but when it comes to me, I feel I cant justify it. My friend has the crew one and the Barbour one and she loves them. If only :(

I know, super pricey, I just couldn't justify it! I am super picky about my clothes, but I really love the primark one, it was £19 - much more a price I can feel ok about! I love the barbour ones, but just don't like the fit on me - they don't look like a £200 jacket when on me!
