Ladies Hunter ??

Can a Ladies Hunter (class) be ridden side saddle or astride ?? I thought it was a side saddle class ??

That what I thought, we have a new livery at our yard and she said that her instructor who is a judge said she should do ladies hunter, but when I said how I liked side saddle when I have a little try at it, she said no ladies hunter astride!! she threw me because her instructor is a local judge, (not on any panel)

You can have ladies hunter astride and at county level it normally doesn't qualify for anything though. Also, alot of the side saddle horses go into it anyway but are also ridden astride.
