my mum says blue is far nicer, and that black is too 'harsh' for women. i disagree, and love black, especially on my bright bay mare! what do you think?
Black every time for me, especially in dressage where the tack is usually black. Even if thats not the case, if you wear black boots, I tend to think why add another colour into the mix? It looks smarter to keep to as few colours as possible (but I am a bit anal about that sort of thing!).
i feel exactly the same! i used to wear green and burgundy for jumping (but i was younger then! lol!), but since going into dressage, it just seems far smarter to be in black. didnt feel right when i wore burgundy, and everyone was in black or tweed!
My jacket is dark dark blue, which made getting a hat very hard to match. Blue hats make my jacket look black and black hats make my jacket look blue!!
I prefer dark blue.
I much prefer blue to black . Its the same principle that people wear black on "fat days" - but black isnt a flattering colour and blue is so much nicer and less harsh.
Depends on what you are going to be doing. Showing would be navy or tweed (depending on the class), dressage the same, show jumping - any colour you like!
Men wear black hats and ladies wear blue hats, no matter the colour of the jacket, so I would think navy would look better than black anyway. Plus there are many more choices of navy hat than there are black.
