Hey guys,
I went to Ireland this weekend to go to Goresbridge Horse Sales and whilst over there i stayed at a B&B in the village.
At the B&B, i looked out of my window and there was a yard so me and my friends asked to go and look at their horses.
We went around the back to find 2 dun connemaras in the field, manes hogged, fully clipped and a lightweight rug on. The guy and his 2 sons came out, opened the gate and whistled to the horses and they trotted over, through the gate and into a stable. (one stable)
When we walked over, we noticed that in every stable there were two horses. All clipped and and hogged apart from two more dun connemaras who had just arrived and were untouched 3yr olds.
Anyway, the two horses they got in from the field had their rugs whipped off, tack on that wasnt exactly the safest fit and straight off into trot, canter and jump!
These ponies were just broken a month back and blimey they were good already, they had hunted and show jumped and believe me, they were cracking jumpers! And such happy ponies
It just made me think about how we are so obsessed with doing everything 'right' and taking things slow and doing a proper warm ups and rugging, clipping, stabling properly!
These guys just have fun, all their horses are so happy and i guess the family save alot of time not faffing about like we do!
Yeah, sorry about my long ramble, just wanted to share
