Hi my horse lost a front left shoe on Tuesday night out in the field, he was brought in on Wednesday morning and was rather sore on the foot I just assumed he was abit foot sore after losing the shoe and being on hard ground. I had the farrier out today to put a shoe back on and he is now hopping lame? He is on full livery and yard owner let me know today he had a pulse in both front feet and she guessed early lami . I went to see him after work and cannot feel a pulse in front right and can feel a very slight pulse in the foot he is lame on. He’s currently stabled and has had a bute but is very uncomfortable.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated xx

If your farrier can get there asap to check for an abcess try that first. Mine managed to stab a tiny hole in his sole, most likely with one of the shoe nails when he pulled the shoe off. Farrier quickly identified the problem & we cured it like a standard abcess.
