I know this could be anything and I Plan to get vet out next week but I appreciate any thoughts on the following. My mare came in lame a few days ago aft two others horses went out. The mud is rough so I assumed they'd had a disagreement and in the mud trying to get away she had pulled something. There was no heat or swelling. I box rested for a couple of days because one of the mares is pretty nasty and didn't want to put her out a a disadvantage. She seemed fine yesterday so we went for a walk in hand and she was fine until she got a bit jolly going up a steep hill as we were nearing home and then she wasn't right again. Today there's an improvement on yesterday. I have her on boswellia. So does it sound like a pull or a strain or something more? Lik I said I know this old be anything but just thought I'd inquire on here and see people's thoughts.

with my horse I always assume abscess due to his history. It could be your horse has got one brewing or she may have stood on a sharp stone or just tweaked something hooning around. Let us know how she gets on.

Thank you Victoria. I did assume abscess . She's never had one before then then when she went fine again I wrote that off. I will see how she goes and le you know.

my horse is often intermittently slightly lame just for a few strides for a week or so before bang he's hopping and the abscess is ready.
