My horse was shod yesterday. After I rode in school, walk only then bringing him out in hand I noticed he was not turning his rear right leg/foot when we had to go round corners. I popped him on lunge on circle he was crippled and called farrier back. He was ok on stright but lame on circle both in school and on hard.
farrier could not find anything, this morning I went to him, he was sound in school on lunge but still lame on hard.
He did have bone spavin 2 years ago.
At what point would you get the vet. All legs written off on insurance.
I am panicking about him never being ridable again.

If he was sound before the farrier visit, I would be fairly certain that the lameness was as a result of the shoeing. If you think the horse is in pain, I would get the vet, especially as the farrier has been back and can't find anything. Did he remove the shoe?
