lame but no signs of swelling or heat

last night i went to go and ride my horse and he was lame .. seemed to be ok in a straight line but then as soon as you turned him he limped .. ive checked him over and theres no obvious signs of swelling or heat anywere!

any help would be great

Just had the same problem.With suspensory ligament under the knee there is no swelling or heat best to get him checked .If he is on a lunge and lameness shows up worse on the outside leg this is a sign of ligament under the knee.Mine was ok in straight lines but hopped on corners he had just had surgery for spavins so it wasnt picked up as soon as it could have been (a week later) and was masked by danilon.Hav a look to see if there is a vein running around the back of the knee that appears swollen.Mines being scanned tomorrow.
