I thought it was about time I updated you on my little collie x that was diagnosed with severe arthritus in her hips.
She went on a course of cartophen injections, once a week for four weeks followed by once a month therafter.
For the first 3 weeks I saw no improvement and was beginning to dispair. Half way through the fourth week there was an amazing change in her.
Her next injection is due on the 23rd November and so far so good. We are slowly increasing her exercise and for the first time in several long weeks I let her off the lead for a run earlier this week. All was well, she ran and played and suffered no ill effects at all. Obviously I need to be careful and not let her overdo it but things are looking so much brighter at the moment. If this continues over the next few weeks we may even be able to attempt a small overnight hike together as I had planned.

Excellent news! Our Wolfhound had the course of Cartrophen last year and we saw some improvemnet after 6 weeks and a really good improvement after 8. We have not repeated as yet as acupuncture has helped enormously but mostly constant doses of Synoquin. Hope your dog continues to make excellent progress!

I have a friend with great danes and early arthritic problems, she uses a newish supplement from a company called Kinesis health (www.kinesishealth.com) for a canine joint supplement that has HA in, she swears by it and its a cool chewy beefy tab that they love and see more as a treat. she used to use seniquin but to pricey. Just wondered if any one else had used or heard of it, Conquer K9, ???
