Farrier came tonight. He took the shoe off and got the smalest amount of pus out the front of her toe. he doesnt think this is causing the lameness and thinks its shoulder related - she was uncomfortable with her foot stretching up on the stand.

Hes put some wadding there and the shoe back on - said to give her bute for next 2 days then take her off it and reassess on thursday. If no better get him out again before ringing vets.

In the meantime my friend has lent me her bioflow rug - no experience of magnet therapy and pretty dubious but i guess it cant hurt!

Hi there, it seems a bit strange to have reshod a horse with pus in its foot (surely better to have let it drain and use a poultice?) but fingers crossed for you that you get to the bottom of it

farrier did not supply the bute - I have my own.

He is fully qualified in corrective and lameness shoeing so i trust him implicitly.
