Bug is lame......
Friday I took her out for a hack, was fine in walk but when I asked her to trot she just wasn't right, but not really bad.
As I walked her back to the field she got worse, but still not horrendous....so left her out, thinking she might just have pulled something, she is a young TB and loves galloping around her field and skid to a stop at the gate. No heat or swelling any where.
Saturday still lame, but Sunday I brought her in as she was still lame, thought i'd poultice her and she what happened. as I was cleaning her foot I fould a thorn only just visable stuck in her frog about half way up.
Called farrier he said try and get it out and then she should be fine.
Sunday evening I finally managed to get it out with help from sissors and tweezers. I got it all out i believe it didn't look freshly snapped.
I poulticed her back up over night to make sure it had all come out and there was no infection. This morning, she cantered over but lame and then when she was trotting she was still very lame.

Still no heat in the foot or anywhere else??????Any ideas, she is the type that normally swells at the slightest thing, though abcess but no heat?????

Yeah called him today. Just did all the stuff he'd only make me do before I called him, other wise he'd have just told me to poultice for a few days and then call him back out again, done that now, so can move on a step.

Hope it's nothing serious.
